Join us for storytime this fall

Every Wednesday and Saturday, little ones flock into our Midtown and Thomasville locations for 30 minutes of reading fun. We sit on pillows, sing songs, and create crafts inspired by the day's reading. At The Bookshelf, we want children to fall in love with the written word, and storytime is a great way to introduce kids to the wonder of reading.

This fall, we've got special autumn- and Halloween-themed storytimes scheduled in our stores. On Saturday, September 22, we kick off Tolkien Week with a reading of The Hobbit, and on the 29th, we'll get together to read The Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad as part of a special Read for the Record event. We'll do some silly and slightly spooky readings in October, with a fun nighttime trick-or-treat event planned for October 31 in Midtown.

We're passionate readers, and we want the children we know and love to be passionate readers too! We hope you'll join us for some of these fun, family-friendly in-store events. They're great ways to introduce your little ones to the books you love... and to bond over new favorites too!
