William Joyce & The Guardians of Childhood
Author and illustrator William Joyce captured readers -- and later, audiences -- with his book-turned-Oscar-winning-short-film The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. Now, Joyce has returned with a collection of books based on our long-lost "guardians of childhood," including the man on the moon, the sandman, Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, and the tooth fairy. Joyce's latest series brings to life these childhood characters and their harrowing adventures, and on November 21, audiences will again have the chance to see Joyce's work on the big screen. His film Rise of the Guardians will tie together the characters from his "Guardians of Childhood" series and will feature Joyce's unique artistry and illustration. Until the film debuts this fall, come by the store to check out Joyce's beautiful books. Each one is filled with the stories and pictures we've grown to love from this talented writer.
